Increasingly used as a living area and a functional entertaining and meeting space, the kitchen is one of the parts of the home currently undergoing profound changes.
New requirements are expanding everyday living spaces and creating fresh identities, more fluid and in line with lifestyle fashions, the spirit of a prosperity most can now enjoy.

Interpreting this contemporary trend, Ernestomeda, with its consolidated brand and leading-edge industrial culture, is revolutionising the rules and languages of production, offering a range of kitchens featuring excellence in materials and workmanship, and convenience combined with safety and an awareness of environmental considerations, certified by compliance with the Uni En Iso 14001 standard as early as 2004.
Thanks to a business strategy that has successfully coordinated product, pricing, distribution network and communications factors, today Ernestomeda meets the needs of a large target of well-informed, demanding consumers, attracted by quality products at affordable prices.
Always core to the corporate philosophy, in this context design becomes an innovative universal language many are able to enjoy and employ. To translate these concepts into a clearly defined formal language, Ernestomeda has invited internationally famous designers to Eurocucina 2006 at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, to create different projects, each with their own style of eloquence.

Barrique, produced to the design of Rodolfo Dordoni, is a kitchen which puts itself and its contents on display, with enticing transparencies, combining the warmth of fine natural materials with the very latest technology.

Elektra, designed by Pietro Arosio, is conceived with a focus on the ergonomic, intelligent, proper use of volumes, reflected in an attractive ethical and aesthetic balance. Arosio has also created the new Neon island, with a dynamic line and extreme materials, the Tornasole wall-mounted storage unit for kitchens and other contexts, and the Cover integrated kitchen, with motorised control.
Technology confirms its place as undisputed protagonist with the “Invisible Sound” system by FeONIC™, which uses structural materials to carry sound through the room, without using loudspeakers, and with M.O.D.E. (Multipurpose Operative Domestic Environment), the innovative sliding-door cupboard system designed by Arosio and used in all the Ernestomeda programmes.
Technology and form also feature in the Fuori Salone collateral event at the “Officine Stendhal”, where Ernestomeda is collaborating with DuPont™ to present the revolutionary “Z. Island by DuPont™ Corian®” kitchen designed by Zaha Hadid, which explores the latest applications of domotics, with original use of material and innovative performance features.
This project confirms the corporate mission for research and experimentation, and the ability to keep ahead of the developments in needs, behavioural patterns and lifestyles tomorrow’s consumer will embody.

Just as Ernestomeda’s advertising campaign tells us:
"A great brand rises to the challenge of dreams…"
